New Delhi, February 5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a pointed response in the Rajya Sabha today while thanking President Droupadi Murmu for her address to the joint session of Parliament. In a fiery speech, he highlighted India’s rising global stature, attributing it to economic strength, citizen patriotism, and a robust manufacturing ecosystem.

PM Modi sharply criticized those immersed in vote-bank politics, accusing them of neglecting the nation’s core priorities. ‘People drowned in vote-bank politics never prioritized strengthening these aspects of the country,’ he said, taking direct aim at the Congress party. ‘Let me be clear: they had neither vision, nor intent, nor willpower.’

He emphasized recent trade agreements that open doors for Indian youth across rural, urban, and middle-class backgrounds. ‘Our sons and daughters now have access to global markets, with new opportunities awaiting them,’ Modi assured, pledging his unwavering support. ‘I’m standing shoulder-to-shoulder with you, and the world is ready to embrace your talents and ambitions.’

Turning to past mistakes, the Prime Minister noted that significant national energy is now spent correcting Congress-era errors and cleansing India’s tarnished global image. ‘They left the country in dire straits. That’s why we’ve focused on future-ready policies. Today, the nation runs on policy-driven governance, building global trust and riding the reform express.’

Modi also addressed illegal immigration, pointing out that even advanced nations are deporting intruders. ‘Here, pressure is mounted on courts to protect infiltrators who rob our youth of jobs and rights, encroaching on tribal lands. Yet, these same people lecture us!’ he remarked, underscoring the need for national security over political appeasement.
