New Delhi buzzed with political fireworks as BJP leaders unleashed a scathing attack on Congress and Rahul Gandhi for their disruptive antics in Parliament. Accusing the opposition of turning the august house into a theater of chaos, senior BJP figures declared that such behavior has brought democracy into disrepute.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh led the charge, labeling Rahul Gandhi’s actions as a blatant assault on national institutions. ‘Rahul Gandhi seems to think Parliament is the Congress party office,’ Singh remarked sharply. He accused the Congress heir of orchestrating a conspiracy against the country, spreading lies and confusion much like a stage drama. ‘This is not positive politics; it’s a plot to undermine India,’ he added, emphasizing that Gandhi’s conduct treats the parliamentary building as his personal fiefdom.
Kiren Rijiju, another Union Minister, targeted Gandhi’s recent letter complaining about being denied speaking time in the Lok Sabha. Rijiju countered that Gandhi had insisted on speaking outside the rules, and while the government waited two days, others deserved their turns too. ‘This is India’s Parliament, not a place for whimsical speeches. Rules must be followed,’ he asserted firmly.
BJP MP Arun Govil didn’t hold back, calling Gandhi’s behavior utterly shameful for any lawmaker. ‘No amount of condemnation is enough for such antics,’ Govil said, pointing out that Gandhi often seems oblivious to his own words and actions in the House.
On the suspension of eight opposition MPs, BJP MP Shashank Mani defended the decision, stating it was due to their violation of parliamentary decorum. ‘The action was justified, and the Speaker will act similarly against any future disruptions,’ he affirmed.
BJP MP Darshan Singh Choudhary dismissed Congress allegations as baseless, arguing that Rahul Gandhi and his allies’ conduct has tarnished the dignity of Parliament. As tensions simmer, the BJP’s united front signals no tolerance for what they see as opposition hooliganism, vowing to uphold the sanctity of democratic proceedings.
