ASHokNAGAR, Madhya Pradesh – Union Minister Jyotiraditya Sindhia, representing Guna in Parliament, chaired a key district development meeting here on Monday, issuing firm directives to ensure all ongoing employment, irrigation, and infrastructure projects in Ashoknagar wrap up on schedule.
During the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) session at the collectorate, Sindhia conducted a thorough review of progress across critical sectors. Health services, education, water supply, urban development, job creation, and industrial growth took center stage, with department heads receiving precise instructions to accelerate implementation.
Highlighting healthcare advancements, the minister noted that 40 essential positions—including pediatricians, medical officers, and nursing staff—at the 100-bed hospital have now been filled. A brand-new 300-bed facility aims for completion by May 2027, complete with pre-approved staffing. On the irrigation front, the ambitious Rs 550 crore Chanderi Micro Irrigation Project must finish by June 2026. Similarly, the Rs 1,572 crore Rajghat Water Supply Scheme, set to benefit 812 villages, carries a December 2026 deadline.
Sindhia praised the Ashoknagar call center as the district’s shining ‘Navratna,’ currently employing 505 young people directly. Plans are underway for expansion with a 1,000-seat building near the Maruti showroom, funded through private partnerships. He also ordered the collector to set timelines for relocating the Transport Nagar.
Speaking to reporters afterward, the BJP leader emphasized the state government’s commitment to beautifying Ashoknagar. A Rs 45 crore sports complex will rise in three phases, while Rs 40 crore has been sanctioned for Tulsi Sarovar enhancements and themed road developments. Major road projects include the 55-km Shadora-Karila Mata route by December 2026 and the 81-km Purwai-Mungawli-Chanderi highway by June 2026.
These initiatives signal a robust push toward holistic growth, blending job opportunities with modern infrastructure to uplift the region.
