New Delhi is buzzing with excitement as Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, unveiled the ‘My Bharat Budget Quest 2026’ initiative on Monday. This nationwide online competition, kicking off February 3 on the My Bharat portal, aims to demystify the central budget for young Indians and encourage them to link fiscal policies to everyday life.
The quest opens doors for youth to grasp budget intricacies in a fun, accessible way. Registration closes on February 17, followed by a quiz round testing knowledge of Budget 2026 highlights. Top performers from states and union territories advance to a second round from February 17 to March 3, featuring essay writing on eight key budget themes.
Essays will be judged between March 3 and 10, with state merit lists announced on March 10. Winners proceed to the grand finale: a virtual dialogue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ‘This builds on last year’s success where youth ideas shaped Budget 2026-27,’ Mandaviya noted, highlighting how innovative suggestions from the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue influenced policy.
The competition underscores the government’s push for youth involvement in nation-building. By empowering young voices, it fosters a deeper understanding of economic development. The virtual meet with PM Modi promises to be the highlight, offering winners a platform to discuss Viksit Bharat’s budget vision directly.
This initiative not only educates but also inspires the next generation to contribute to India’s growth story. With simple registration and engaging formats, My Bharat Budget Quest is set to engage millions, bridging the gap between policy and people.
