Mumbai, February 2: Tamil cinema’s prominent figure and seasoned producer Soundarya Rajinikanth is back in the spotlight after a long hiatus. At a pre-release event for the film ‘With Love’, she opened up about her journey, the challenges she faced, and her exciting new chapter in filmmaking.
Soundarya, who is producing ‘With Love’ directed by Madan, shared heartfelt moments on stage. ‘This isn’t just a film event for me; it’s an emotional milestone in my life,’ she said. During a conversation with director Venkat Prabhu, he reminded her that 16 years had passed since the release of ‘Goa’, her breakout production.
‘Goa’ marked Soundarya’s entry as a producer, establishing her in the industry. Life’s ups and downs kept her away from films for years. Hearing about the 16-year gap hit her emotionally. ‘Returning to the producer’s chair after so long feels incredibly special,’ she reflected.
