New Delhi, January 30 – Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has praised Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh’s decisive action against three senior Delhi Jal Board officials suspended for negligence and unauthorized absence during office hours.
The minister’s surprise inspection was prompted by public complaints about regional bill officers being unreachable. Finding them absent, he immediately recommended their suspension to send a strong message to the bureaucracy.
“The BJP government in Delhi is deeply committed to public convenience and citizens’ rights,” Sachdeva declared. He highlighted how the minister’s firm stance ensures accountability among officials who fail to show up on time.
Taking a sharp dig at AAP convenor Saurabh Bharadwaj’s criticism, Sachdeva pointed out that the service rules in place today are the same as during the Kejriwal regime. “AAP leaders wanted unchecked suspension powers to intimidate officers and cover up their ministers’ corruption,” he alleged.
In contrast, BJP ministers follow due process by recommending suspensions to competent authorities for those neglecting duties or indulging in graft. Sachdeva accused Kejriwal and Bharadwaj of being mired in corruption themselves, incapable of acting against corrupt officials unless they obstruct AAP’s whims.
This episode underscores the BJP’s zero-tolerance approach to administrative lapses, prioritizing service delivery over political gamesmanship. As Delhi gears up for potential governance shifts, such actions reinforce public trust in responsive leadership.
