Mumbai’s rising star Rasha Thadani, daughter of Bollywood icon Raveena Tandon, is stepping into the music scene with a heartfelt tribute to Lord Shiva. Her debut single ‘Chhap Tilak’ has captured attention for its deep spiritual resonance, reflecting her unwavering devotion to the deity.
In a recent Instagram post, Rasha poured out her emotions, stating that Shiva has always held a special place in her heart. ‘Chhap Tilak is a song incredibly close to my soul,’ she shared, connecting the lyrics to the cosmic dancer Nataraja. She elaborated on lines like ‘Mai to chhap tilak chhod chali re,’ interpreting it as offering her art and tilak to the divine performer, and ‘Mai to aaj phalak odh chali re,’ symbolizing the universe’s eternal embrace.
Rasha’s faith runs deep. A devoted follower of Mahadev, she frequently visits Shiva temples alongside her mother and has darshaned several of the 12 Jyotirlingas across India. This spiritual journey infuses her music with authenticity.
Transitioning from acting, where her 2025 debut film ‘Azaad’ didn’t quite hit the mark at the box office, Rasha is now channeling her talents into singing. A studio video on Instagram showcases her recording the track, earning praise from ‘Baahubali’ superstar Prabhas.
But Rasha isn’t sidelining cinema. She’s gearing up for her next big screen appearance in ‘Laika Laiki,’ promising a fresh start. With ‘Chhap Tilak,’ she’s not just debuting as a singer but weaving spirituality into entertainment, marking a promising new chapter.
