Ranchi, January 29: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has officially released the notification for the 14th Combined Civil Services Examination on Thursday evening, opening doors to 103 prestigious positions across various state government departments.
Aspiring candidates can start submitting their online applications from Sunday, January 31. The application window will remain active from 10 AM on January 31 until February 14. Payment of examination fees must be completed by 5 PM on February 16.
Applications are to be submitted exclusively through the JPSC official website. This recruitment drive targets key roles including 28 Deputy Collectors, 42 Deputy Superintendents of Police, 10 State Public Relations Officers, 10 Assistant Municipal Commissioners/Executive Officers, 4 Probation Officers, 3 Assistant Directors (Women & Child Development), 2 Jail Superintendents, 2 District Commandants, and 2 Assistant Registrars.
Eligibility requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university. Age is calculated as of August 1, 2026, with a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 35 years for unreserved categories. Relaxations apply for SC/ST, OBC, EWS, and female candidates as per rules.
The selection unfolds in three phases: Preliminary Exam with two objective papers on General Studies, followed by the Main Exam comprising six written papers. Successful mains candidates proceed to the interview stage. Specific posts like DSP, District Commandant, and Jail Superintendent mandate physical standards.
