The tragic Baramati plane crash has left a deep scar on the family of Vidyip Jadhav, personal security officer to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Speaking from their home in Satara, relatives expressed profound grief, saying they struggle to put their sorrow into words. ‘He was the pillar holding our entire family together,’ they lamented, facing the daunting challenge of staying united without him.
Vidyip was aboard the ill-fated aircraft that crashed on Wednesday in Baramati, claiming the lives of Ajit Pawar and others. His last rites were performed late that night in Phaltan, Satara district, drawing mourners who remembered his dedication.
Ganesh Jadhav, a family member, shared with reporters that Vidyip had served as Ajit Pawar’s PSO since 2019. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2019, he held the same position under then-Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. His reputation spanned every corner of Maharashtra; no district was unfamiliar with his name and commitment.
‘Vidyip’s greatest strength was keeping our family bonded and caring for everyone,’ Ganesh recalled. During the funeral, the void left by his absence hit hardest. ‘When he left us, it felt like our family’s backbone was gone.’ The loss has enveloped the entire clan in unimaginable pain.
Ganesh emphasized Vidyip’s inclusive nature, treating relatives like his own and never seeing anyone as an outsider. Now, the family confronts their biggest test: remaining cohesive as one unit. ‘Life without him will be incredibly tough,’ he admitted, as they begin navigating this new reality.
