In a major crackdown on illegal arms trafficking, Indore’s Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two suspects and recovered five sophisticated pistols complete with magazines. The operation, part of Madhya Pradesh Police’s ongoing campaign against organized crime, unfolded in the heart of the city and marks a significant victory for law enforcement.
Under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajesh Singh Chauhan, two specialized STF teams were swiftly deployed following credible intelligence about a local arms racket. The first team, comprising Inspector Ramesh Chauhan, Head Constable Bhupendra Gupta, and Constable Vivek Dwivedi, collaborated seamlessly with the second unit led by Head Constable Adarsh Dikshit, alongside Constables Devraj Baghel and Devendra Singh.
Acting on precise tips, the teams encircled a targeted location in Indore, intercepting two suspicious individuals. A thorough search revealed the cache of high-tech pistols, which the duo could not produce any valid licenses for. The weapons were immediately confiscated, and the accused, hailing from Boradiya village under Bhikangaon police station in Khargone district, were taken into custody.
Preliminary interrogation has uncovered potential links to a broader supply network, prompting an in-depth probe into the sourcing, distribution, and intended use of these firearms. Authorities are leaving no stone unturned to dismantle the entire operation, signaling a zero-tolerance stance on illegal weaponry in the region.
This bust not only disrupts local criminal activities but also underscores the STF’s proactive role in maintaining public safety. As investigations deepen, more revelations are expected, potentially leading to further arrests and seizures in the coming days.
