In a heartbreaking incident from Faridabad, Haryana, a father has been arrested for brutally beating his 4.5-year-old daughter to death simply because she couldn’t write numbers up to 50. The shocking case came to light after the mother grew suspicious of the injuries on her child’s body.
Krishna Jaiswal, a resident of Jharshentli village originally from Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh, was home with his children while his wife was at work. The couple, who work at a private company, have three children: a 7-year-old son, the deceased 4.5-year-old daughter, and a 2-year-old daughter. Krishna took it upon himself to teach the middle child during the day.
On January 21, when the little girl struggled to write the numbers as instructed, Krishna flew into a rage. He beat her so severely that she lost consciousness. Panicking, he rushed her to a government hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
To cover his tracks, Krishna called his wife and lied that the child had fallen from the stairs while playing. But when the mother arrived and saw the extensive bruises and blue marks all over her daughter’s face and body, she knew something was terribly wrong. She immediately filed a complaint at the local police station.
Sector 56 Crime Branch swiftly apprehended Krishna. Under intense interrogation, he confessed to the crime, admitting he taught her at home since she wasn’t enrolled in school. The police have remanded him for one day and are continuing their probe into this tragic act of child abuse.
This incident has sparked outrage, highlighting the urgent need for awareness on child safety and the dangers of unchecked parental anger. Authorities urge parents to seek patience and professional help in education rather than resorting to violence.
