In a chilling tale of love turned toxic in Samastipur, Bihar, a young man resorted to blackmail after learning his school-time girlfriend was set to marry someone else. The couple had shared a romance that blossomed in the classrooms, lasting for years. But when wedding bells rang for her elsewhere, he plotted revenge.
Luring her to a fake birthday celebration, the accused spiked her cold drink with sedatives. Once she was unconscious, he recorded explicit videos. These became his weapons of control. He repeatedly summoned her to isolated spots, filming more compromising material while threatening to leak the originals online.
The victim endured months of torment. He harassed her via a fake Instagram account and warned of posting the videos if she proceeded with her marriage. Desperate, she approached the local women’s police station and cyber cell, detailing the nightmare.
Police have acknowledged the complaint and plan to register a case under cyber laws. The accused, from Karyanpur area, also issued death threats over phone to her and her prospective in-laws, plunging the family into fear.
Despite informing his family, no help came. The woman’s plea for strict action underscores a disturbing rise in intimate partner violence disguised as love. Authorities assure thorough investigation to bring the perpetrator to justice, highlighting the need for vigilance against such manipulative crimes.
