Patna, January 23 – On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, Bihar’s Panchayati Raj Minister Deepak Prakash extended heartfelt greetings to the people of the state, urging them to embrace knowledge, scientific thinking, and stronger communal harmony.
Speaking to the media, Prakash emphasized that this festival transcends mere rituals. ‘Basant Panchami is a call to action for progress and building a better society,’ he stated. He wished for the light of knowledge to spread across Bihar, fostering a scientific outlook and deepening bonds of brotherhood among citizens.
‘Education and rational thinking are the true drivers of any state’s development,’ Prakash asserted, highlighting the role of enlightened minds in national advancement.
The minister expressed strong confidence in Bihar’s law and order under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership. ‘Our government is synonymous with good governance. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any disruption in law and order,’ he declared.
Prakash assured that every criminal incident is met with swift investigation and stringent punishment. ‘No crime goes unaddressed; culprits face immediate and severe consequences,’ he added.
In a somber note, he mourned the soldiers martyred in a tragic incident in Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir, offering condolences to their families.
Turning to politics, Prakash took a sharp dig at the Congress party, labeling it as inherently anti-poor since its inception.
As a key figure in the NDA ally Rashtriya Lok Morcha, Prakash continues to champion decentralized governance through his role in the Panchayati Raj department.
