A catastrophic rail disaster was narrowly avoided on Thursday morning in Deoghar, Jharkhand, when a passenger train collided with a truck at a busy railway crossing. The incident occurred at the Rohini-Nawadih gate located between the Jasidih and Madhupur stations. The Gonda-Asansol Express, bearing train number 13510, slammed into a truck heavily loaded with rice. Despite the severity of the impact, the truck did not overturn, which likely prevented a far more tragic outcome. The collision took place around 9:38 AM, a peak hour for local commuters, leading to immediate chaos at the site. While the truck sustained significant damage, no fatalities or serious injuries were reported from the scene.
