Bhopal, the heart of Madhya Pradesh, has just unveiled a cutting-edge railway control office equipped with the latest technology. On Wednesday, Shobhana Bandyopadhyay, General Manager of West Central Railway, inaugurated this modern facility, marking a significant milestone in regional rail infrastructure.
Speaking at the event, Bandyopadhyay emphasized the pivotal role of such advanced control centers in streamlining railway operations. ‘This office will enhance operational efficiency, ensuring passengers receive safe, seamless, and punctual services,’ she stated. She directed officials to prioritize passenger safety and comfort by maximizing the use of available technological resources.
Pankaj Tyagi, Divisional Railway Manager, welcomed the General Manager and highlighted the office’s importance for the Bhopal division. ‘This new control room strengthens train operations, maintenance, and emergency management across the division,’ Tyagi noted.
During the inauguration, Bandyopadhyay interacted with supervisors to gain detailed insights into the office’s functioning. The facility is now fully operational, boasting state-of-the-art communication systems, digital monitoring, real-time train tracking, a server room, disaster management center, and punctuality oversight tools.
Post-inauguration, the General Manager toured the premises, reviewing the advanced features designed to boost train punctuality, security, and rapid decision-making in crises. This development promises a transformative upgrade for Bhopal’s rail network, benefiting millions of travelers with improved reliability and safety.
