Patna’s shocking incident involving a NEET aspirant’s death in a girls’ hostel has drawn sharp criticism from Congress leader and Purnea MP Pappu Yadav. Labeling it a clear case of murder rather than suicide, Yadav visited the site on Tuesday and questioned the inaction against the hostel operator.
In an exclusive conversation, Yadav accused authorities of a cover-up. ‘Everyone is in cahoots to hush this up,’ he fumed. ‘This unregistered hostel saw a brutal murder, yet no one is holding the owner accountable. Why portray it as suicide? Why hasn’t the operator been arrested?’
He raised serious concerns about the post-mortem at PMCH, demanding trust in its findings. ‘CCTV cameras were conveniently off. Is any daughter safe in such places?’ Yadav insisted on the operator’s immediate arrest, a thorough investigation, and plans to approach the High Court for a CBI probe.
Yadav also tied the issue to broader political narratives, praising Rahul Gandhi’s stance against BJP and RSS for allegedly silencing the public. Echoing Supreme Court observations, he highlighted how agencies like ED and CBI intimidate during elections. ‘Rahul follows Mahatma Gandhi’s path, Mamata Banerjee channels Subhas Chandra Bose—let them lead,’ he added.
The case has ignited debates on student safety in Bihar’s coaching hubs, with Yadav vowing relentless pursuit until justice is served.
