Patna erupted in celebration as BJP workers plastered the city with posters hailing Nitin Nabin, who is set to take the helm as the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday. This milestone marks a proud moment for Bihar, with local leaders proclaiming it as the dawn of a youthful era for India’s largest political outfit.
Bihar BJP chief Sanjay Saravgi couldn’t contain his excitement, declaring that ‘Bihar’s Nitin has now become the nation’s Nitin.’ In conversations with media outlets, he described the atmosphere as festive, akin to Diwali and Holi combined. Sweets have been distributed since Monday, and jubilation echoes across the state.
Saravgi highlighted Nabin’s proven track record in fulfilling responsibilities and propelling initiatives forward. Under his leadership, he believes the BJP will gain even greater strength, accelerating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Developed India’ by 2047.
Bihar minister Dilip Jaiswal echoed these sentiments, calling it a fresh start that resonates with the youth nationwide. ‘This new energy and young leadership will propel the party towards fulfilling the ‘Viksit Bharat’ pledge,’ he stated.
Parliamentarian Bhola Singh emphasized the BJP’s merit-based culture, where grassroots workers ascend to national roles, inspiring young cadres everywhere. Party spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan praised the democratic selection process from district to national levels and noted Nabin’s extensive organizational experience, dubbing it the onset of a ‘new era’ for the BJP.
As posters adorn Patna’s streets, the enthusiasm underscores Bihar’s pivotal role in shaping the party’s future trajectory, blending tradition with youthful vigor to chase ambitious national goals.
