In a major administrative crackdown in Chhattisgarh’s Gariyaband district, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Dr. Tulsidas Markam has been suspended following a viral video of an obscene dance event. The incident took place in Rumal village, located in the Manpur block, which is traditionally revered for its religious connection to the Jagannath Temple in Puri. The video allegedly shows the SDM showering money on professional dancers during an ‘Opera’ event that devolved into explicit performances, causing widespread public outrage and questioning the integrity of the local administration.
