Tehran is gripped by tension as the Iranian army issues a stern warning amid ongoing protests. In a statement broadcast by state media IRIB, the military pledged to safeguard the nation’s core interests at any cost. They emphasized protecting strategic infrastructure and public assets while urging citizens to stay united against enemy plots.
The army accused Israel and hostile terrorist groups of orchestrating chaos in Iranian cities. According to the statement, these forces aim to undermine public safety and spark another rebellion in the name of the Iranian people. ‘We are in a state of war,’ the military declared, calling on the public to remain vigilant and foil these conspiracies together.
Under the leadership of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the armed forces will monitor enemy activities closely, the statement added. Coordination with other security branches ensures the defense of vital national assets. This comes as demonstrations, initially sparked by economic woes, have escalated into violence, which officials blame on foreign meddling.
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani pointed fingers at Israel for the current unrest. The Constitutional Council’s spokesman echoed this, noting that peaceful protests over daily hardships were hijacked by external interference, turning them violent. In Baharestan, authorities arrested 100 individuals accused of rioting and attacking civilians and security forces with firearms and sharp weapons.
Hadi Tahan Nazif, addressing a press conference, highlighted how foreign hands transformed legitimate grievances into destructive movements. As the situation unfolds, the Iranian military’s resolve signals a hardline stance, prioritizing stability and national sovereignty above all.
