In a strong endorsement of the relentless efforts shaping Jammu and Kashmir’s security landscape, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has commended the security agencies for their outstanding work. Speaking at a high-level security review meeting in Srinagar, Shah highlighted the transformative strides made in fortifying the region’s defenses against terrorism and unrest.

The minister’s praise comes at a pivotal time, as Jammu and Kashmir continues its journey towards stability post the abrogation of Article 370. Shah emphasized that the coordinated operations by the Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police have significantly reduced terror incidents, dismantled militant networks, and restored a sense of normalcy to the Valley.

‘Despite challenging terrain and persistent threats, our security forces have shown unparalleled dedication,’ Shah stated. He pointed to the successful neutralization of over 100 terrorists in recent operations and the recovery of massive arms caches as testaments to their efficiency.

Shah also outlined future strategies, including enhanced intelligence sharing, modernization of surveillance technology, and community engagement programs to prevent radicalization. These measures, he assured, will ensure lasting peace and pave the way for economic development in the region.

Local leaders and residents welcomed Shah’s remarks, viewing them as a morale booster for the forces on the ground. As elections loom on the horizon, the focus on security remains paramount, with Shah reaffirming the Centre’s unwavering commitment to a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir.
