Beijing’s Commerce Ministry has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to deepening economic ties with Venezuela, brushing aside any external interference. In a strongly worded statement during a regular press briefing on Thursday, spokesperson He Yadong condemned U.S. hegemonic actions as blatant violations of international law and threats to Latin American stability.
He Yadong emphasized that China-Venezuela economic cooperation is a sovereign matter protected under international and bilateral laws. No third party, he asserted, has the right to meddle in these relations. Regardless of political shifts in Venezuela, China remains dedicated to expanding trade and investment partnerships.
Highlighting the principles of equality, mutual benefit, and win-win outcomes, He noted that China’s engagements with Latin American nations have never sought spheres of influence or targeted any side. The robust foundation of these ties rests on economic complementarity, openness, and inclusivity.
As global challenges mount, China pledges continued solidarity with Latin America to tackle issues collectively while advancing equitable economic cooperation for shared prosperity. This stance underscores Beijing’s broader strategy in fostering South-South collaboration amid geopolitical tensions.
