The Gopikandar Community Health Center in Dumka actively promoted maternal health by conducting Antenatal Care (ANC) check-ups for a large group of 126 pregnant women. The drive, overseen by Block Medical Officer Dr. Sumit Anand, aimed to ensure that all expectant mothers are well-informed and healthy for a safe delivery. Comprehensive assessments were performed, covering essential health indicators such as weight, hemoglobin levels, HIV status, and blood pressure. Dr. Anand highlighted that these ANC services are fundamental for monitoring pregnancy progress and offering appropriate guidance. Women received detailed counseling on maintaining hygiene, adopting a balanced diet, understanding pregnancy-related precautions, and general wellness tips to ensure a healthy pregnancy. The successful screening camp was made possible by the diligent efforts of Dr. Hemant Murmu, GNM Nayan Ranjana Murmu, Shweta Hansda, ANM Sonam Kumari, Sarita Tudu, and other healthcare staff present at the facility.
