A devastating incident occurred at the Dubai Air Show 2025 on Friday, resulting in the fatal crash of an Indian Air Force Tejas fighter jet. Wing Commander Namansh Syal, the skilled pilot at the helm of the aircraft, was tragically unable to survive the crash after the jet lost control and impacted at Dubai World Central. Wing Commander Syal, 34, originally from Nagrota Bagwan in the Kangra district, possessed a wealth of experience, having flown the MiG-21 and the potent Sukhoi Su-30 MKI before his assignment to the Tejas. The IAF has promptly launched a court of inquiry to meticulously examine the causes of this unfortunate accident. This marks the second Tejas aircraft incident in under two years, highlighting the need for thorough investigation and safety reviews. Condolences have poured in from various dignitaries, acknowledging Wing Commander Syal’s bravery and commitment to national duty.
