A somber mood has settled over Khunti following the tragic drowning death of Shaligram Mahadev Manki in Digha. Manki was the esteemed grandson of the late freedom fighter Singraj Singh Manki, and also served as the president of the Khunti District Manki Association and a dedicated social worker. His father is Govardhan Singh Manki, a known community figure. The incident occurred in the sea at Digha, leading to his untimely demise. His family, residents of Jojohatu in Khunti district, rushed to Digha on Thursday night after being notified. Many influential personalities, including former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, have conveyed their deepest condolences for the loss of this young life.
