A recent explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort, which killed 13 individuals, has been further illuminated by newly released CCTV footage from the underground metro station. The footage starkly illustrates the blast’s tremendous force, showing significant vibrations extending 40 feet below ground. Commuters and the station’s interior experienced violent shaking, underscoring the perilous nature of the attack.
The ongoing investigation has exposed a sophisticated terror cell that had meticulously planned to unleash devastation using three separate car bombs. One vehicle, a white Hyundai i20, exploded, claiming lives and causing widespread damage. A second car bomb, a red Ford EcoSport, was located in Faridabad, and authorities are now urgently seeking a third vehicle believed to be part of the same plot.
Connections to prominent terrorist organizations, including Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, are being investigated. So far, eight arrests have been made, including three medical professionals from Al-Falah University. A substantial haul of 2,900 kilograms of explosives, chemicals, and electronic triggering devices was seized during subsequent raids. Security forces are on high alert across the nation as they continue their pursuit of the missing vehicle and any other potential threats.
