A heartwarming wave of home inaugurations swept through Torpa block this Wednesday, marking the entry of 109 families into their newly built houses. Under the transformative Abua Awas Yojana, 95 families have now secured their own homes, a major step towards dignified living in rural areas. The housing drive also encompassed 13 units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and one constructed via the Ambedkar Awas Yojana. These ceremonies, spread across different panchayats, culminated in a central event at the block office. Here, district council member Sushanti Kongadi officially handed over keys and certificates, underscoring the government’s pledge to make the dream of owning a home a reality for its citizens.
