A swift arrest has been made by Gumla police in connection with the brutal axe murder of a pregnant woman in Purana Raidih village, under the Raidih police station limits. The victim was reportedly in a live-in relationship with the accused, identified as Suman Yadav, who has now been taken into custody. The incident, which occurred on Monday night, allegedly stemmed from a heated argument between the couple. The victim, who hailed from Dharmjaygarh, Chhattisgarh, was allegedly attacked multiple times with an axe, leading to her death at the scene. She was also four months pregnant. Police are conducting a detailed investigation into the motive and circumstances surrounding the murder, and the body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Further legal proceedings are underway.
