As Diwali approaches, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast significant weather activity, including heavy rains and thunderstorms, for several southern and central Indian states. From October 14 to October 18, regions such as Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana are likely to experience light to moderate rain, with isolated heavy downpours possible. The IMD also warned of thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds of up to 40 kmph in these areas. Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra can expect similar conditions between October 14 and 17. In contrast, Delhi is set to enjoy clear skies and sunshine, with temperatures remaining moderate.
