A senior police official in Ranchi, Zonal Inspector General Manoj Kaushik, has suspended Brahmdev Prasad, the Station Chief of Argodah Police Station. The decision was made based on findings related to an alleged incident where a youth was detained and assaulted in the police station’s lock-up. Information gathered and compiled in a report about the Station Chief was then presented to the Zonal IG, leading to the current suspension.
