The Election Commission of India (ECI) will hold a press conference at 4 PM on Monday, October 6, to officially announce the schedule for the Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections. This follows a preparatory meeting held in Patna on October 5, focusing on election readiness. The press conference will be attended by key officials including Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The ECI’s announcement will encompass all critical aspects of the election timeline: polling phases, specific polling dates, vote counting procedures, and the date when the results will be released. During their visit to the state, the ECI met with enforcement agencies in Patna to discuss and ensure free and fair elections. The Election Commission also briefed the media, emphasizing the steps taken to uphold the integrity of the electoral process. The CEC confirmed that the elections must be completed by November 22 and 100% webcasting will be in place to enhance transparency.
