Kawasaki’s forthcoming KLE 500 adventure bike is generating buzz, with an anticipated launch soon in India. The motorcycle was initially previewed at EICMA 2024, which featured a 21-inch front wheel, hinting at the adventure-focused design. A recent teaser video confirms that the launch is ‘Coming Soon’.
The KLE 500 is slated to incorporate the Ninja 500’s 451cc parallel-twin engine, offering 45.4hp and 42.6Nm of torque. This engine setup aligns with the bike’s design for adventure-style riding, constructed on a new chassis.
The design is expected to include a 21-inch front wheel, USD front forks, and a Nissin single front disc brake. Further features include a steel box-section swingarm, spoked wheels with tube tires, and an exhaust system mirroring the Ninja 500’s lower right-side placement.
Performance expectations are aligned with the Ninja 500, ensuring robust mid-range power and sufficient torque for long-distance travel. The KLE 500 is specifically engineered to meet the needs of adventure and touring riders.
The company projects an official launch at EICMA 2025, with an India market introduction planned for 2026. The pricing strategy is likely to position the bike around ₹6 lakh+.
The adoption of local assembly, similar to the KLX230 model, could significantly enhance the KLE 500’s competitiveness in the Indian adventure bike segment.
