Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to attend the Bastar Dussehra and Muriya Darbar in Jagdalpur on October 4th. During this event, he will oversee the distribution of funds to women beneficiaries under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, a program by the Chhattisgarh government. The distribution will include a transfer of 606.94 crore rupees, representing the 20th installment of the scheme. This installment will provide financial support to 64,94,768 women. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which began on March 1, 2024, offers 1,000 rupees monthly to married women over 21 years old to promote their economic independence. Till now, the scheme has facilitated the distribution of 12,376.19 crore rupees through 19 installments. With the latest contribution by Amit Shah, the cumulative amount will surpass 12,983.13 crore rupees.
