    In the wake of the stampede at a Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu, which caused the deaths of 39 people and left over 50 injured, TVK leader Vijay issued a statement expressing his deep sorrow. Vijay reached out via social media to convey his heartfelt condolences. He described the events in Karur as difficult to comprehend, stating that his heart and mind were consumed by grief. He found it difficult to express the depth of his pain. He further shared that the faces of those he has met kept replaying in his mind. Vijay extended his heartfelt sympathies to the families, vowing to support them in their time of mourning. He also announced financial assistance to the affected.
