Extortion Plot Foiled: Mumbai Crime Branch Arrests Man Threatening Kapil Sharma

Mumbai police have arrested Dilip Chaudhary from West Bengal for allegedly threatening comedian Kapil Sharma and demanding Rs 1 crore. The arrest followed a complaint that Chaudhary, claiming association with gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar, made threatening calls to a close associate of Sharma, demanding the money. The Mumbai Crime Branch swiftly located and arrested the suspect, bringing him to Mumbai for legal proceedings. Chaudhary was presented before the Esplanade court, which granted the Mumbai Crime Branch custody until September 30. Authorities are now working to determine whether Chaudhary has any real connections to the individuals whose names he invoked while making threats. The investigation includes examination of multiple threatening phone calls and videos that were reportedly sent.
