Bhojpuri actor Dinesh Lal Yadav, known as Nirahua, recently gave an interview where he discussed his experience working with Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in the 2012 film ‘Ganga Devi.’ Directed by Abhishek Chanda, the film also starred Pakhi Hegde. Nirahua shared his initial feelings about working with such established actors.
During the interview, Nirahua confessed to feeling overwhelmed when he learned he would be sharing screen space with Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. He described his awe and nervousness, comparing them to ‘Gods.’ Nirahua recounted an amusing incident from the sets, where Jaya Bachchan hit him with a prop during a scene. He explained that in the scene, he was supposed to act as if he was hitting his on-screen wife, with Jaya Bachchan playing his mother. The actress, in character, then struck him with a stick. He lightheartedly mentioned the incident, viewing the experience as a memorable blessing.
The film ‘Ganga Devi’ was produced by Deepak Sawant, Amitabh Bachchan’s makeup artist at the time. The film also featured appearances by Gulshan Grover, Avdhesh Mishra, and others.
