Good news for travelers: the Amrit Bharat Express train is set to begin operations, offering a more convenient travel experience between Odisha and Gujarat. The Indian Railways has announced that the train will start its journey from Udhna railway station in Surat, with its final stop at Brahmapur railway station in Odisha. The train aims to provide modern facilities, improving travel quality for all, with a focus on supporting low-income families. Key stops along the route will include Rayagada, Vizianagaram, Nandurbar, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Palasa, Badnera, Raipur, and Titlagarh. While the launch date is not yet confirmed, there is speculation of a potential launch by PM Modi during his visit to Odisha on September 27.
This new express train will be capable of reaching speeds of 160 to 180 km/h. The train will comprise 23 coaches, with 11 general class coaches, 8 sleeper class coaches, 1 pantry car, and 2 second-class coaches. In addition, the train will feature a dedicated coach for disabled passengers. The launch of this train is expected to provide significant assistance to migrant workers traveling from areas near Gujarat. It will offer fast, direct travel even during peak travel times.
