RJD leader Rajkumar Rai was shot dead in Patna on Wednesday night in the vicinity of the Rajendra Nagar Terminal. The shooting occurred around 10 PM. The police are investigating the case, including reviewing CCTV footage. Patna East SP Parichay Kumar confirmed the identity of the victim and noted that the investigation is focusing on all aspects of Rai’s life, including his political involvement and land dealings. Rai was shot near his home and died on the way to the hospital. Authorities recovered six bullet shells from the site.
