An outbreak of illness has affected over 30 children in Temki village, located in the Latehar block of Jharkhand. The cause has been identified as the consumption of chow mein. The children were promptly taken to Latehar Sadar Hospital for treatment, where they have since recovered.

The incident occurred during a fair held in Temki village on Wednesday, after the Jitiya festival. Children began vomiting after eating chow mein at the fair. The local community informed District Council member Vinod Uraon and former head Rajesh Uraon, who then coordinated with the Sadar Hospital. They arranged ambulances to transport the children to the hospital. Dr. Jai Prakash Jaiswal, a pediatrician, provided treatment to the affected children at the Sadar Hospital. Following medical intervention, almost all the children are out of danger. Medical officer Dr. Jaiprakash Jaiswal reported that some children were in serious condition, while the rest experienced milder symptoms. All affected children are currently stable and out of danger.
