The Mahindra XUV 3XO, originally launched in India as the XUV300 in 2024, is set to evolve. This SUV features a premium interior, a range of features, and various engine choices. The ex-showroom price starts at roughly ₹7.49 lakh and goes up to ₹15.80 lakh for the top AX7 L Turbo AT variant. The diesel model’s base price is around ₹9.99 lakh.
Mahindra & Mahindra aims to expand its presence in the compact SUV market. They plan to launch the Mahindra XUV 3XO in 2026 with hybrid and electric powertrains. This could mark Mahindra’s initial foray into hybrid vehicles in India, combining a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine with a strong hybrid setup.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is expected to have a small 35kWh battery pack, paired with an electric motor. Both hybrid and electric versions are likely to receive modifications such as ‘Hybrid’ or ‘EV’ badging, new alloy wheels, and instrument cluster software enhancements.
The Mahindra Vision X concept SUV, revealed on August 15, 2025, offers a preview of the brand’s next-generation compact SUV design. The new XUV 3XO is likely to draw inspiration from the Vision X design and may be based on Mahindra’s new NU IQ platform, which supports various powertrain options.
The Vision X concept showcases a striking appearance. However, design alterations are expected in the production model. The concept includes a closed grille with the Mahindra logo, a bonnet, a coupe-like windshield, aero-optimized dual-tone alloy wheels, door handles, and black cladding on the sides. Although the launch timeline is yet to be officially announced, it will compete with the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Sonet in the subcompact SUV segment.
