Alongside the launch, Apple has released repair cost details for the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Air, encompassing battery replacement, screen repair, and back glass replacement. Those considering the iPhone 17 Pro Max should note that extensive repairs may cost a sum comparable to the base iPhone 17. Here’s a breakdown of the repair expenses.
Apple’s official site states that if a phone requires repairs beyond the screen, camera, battery, or back glass, the iPhone 17 repair will cost ₹66,500. The Pro and Pro Max versions’ repairs will cost ₹89,900, and the Air variant will be ₹81,900.
The high repair costs for the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Air mean that a base iPhone 17 could be purchased for the same amount. A 256GB base model iPhone 17 costs ₹82,900.
The battery replacement for the iPhone 17 will be ₹9,800. iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Air, and iPhone 17 Pro Max battery replacements will cost ₹11,800.
The iPhone 16 front screen replacement costs ₹25,500, while the iPhone 17 front screen replacement jumps to ₹32,900, a difference of ₹7,400. The iPhone 17 Pro and Air variants’ front screen repairs are also ₹32,900, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max front screen repair is ₹38,900.
For screen and back glass damage, the iPhone 16 costs ₹33,500 to repair, whereas the iPhone 17 will be ₹40,500, which means those upgrading will need to pay ₹7,000 more for repairs if damage occurs. iPhone 17 Pro and Air variants will cost ₹40,500 to repair, whereas the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be ₹46,800.
