Israeli forces conducted a raid on the home of Oscar-winning Palestinian director Basel Adra in the West Bank. During the raid, the director’s wife was questioned, and her phone was inspected. Adra stated that the Israeli forces also targeted his village, resulting in injuries to two of his brothers and a cousin. Following the incident, Adra went to the hospital with his injured relatives. He was then informed by family members that nine Israeli soldiers had entered their home. The soldiers questioned Adra’s wife, Suha, about his location, examined her phone, and were in the presence of their nine-month-old daughter. Additionally, Adra mentioned that one of his uncles was briefly detained. Due to the military presence surrounding the village, Adra was unable to return home or see his family, fearing his own arrest. The Israeli army explained that the soldiers’ presence was a response to stone-throwing by Palestinians that had injured two Israeli citizens. The army further stated that its soldiers remained in the village, conducting searches and interrogations.
