    A medical student, Jayant Kumar Singh, has been arrested in Varanasi for allegedly threatening Jharkhand’s Health Minister, Dr. Irfan Ansari. The police also recovered the phone used to make the threatening calls. An FIR was lodged at the Steel City police station in Bokaro following the threats. The complaint stated that Dr. Ansari received threatening calls from the same number, with the caller issuing threats. Following the filing of the case, Jharkhand Police traced the mobile number. Despite efforts, the accused, Jayant Kumar Singh, kept changing his location. The police, with the help of Sarnath police, arrested Jayant Kumar Singh on Thursday while he was en route to Ghazipur. He was caught when he was trying to escape. The accused, Jayant Kumar, is an MBBS graduate. He was preparing for a master’s degree in medicine. He also owns a house in Shillong, Meghalaya. He was apprehended near Audhihar via road transport bus.
