Following Israeli Air Force strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted Israel’s commitment to continuing its military operations. He highlighted that the attacks were a response to previous Houthi actions, with the aim of deterring further aggression. The IDF confirmed the strikes, which targeted military camps used for planning attacks, a fuel depot, and the Houthi’s public relations headquarters. The Air Force described the operation as its most expansive since the commencement of the war, spanning over 2,350 kilometers and involving numerous fighter jets. Defense Minister Israel Katz praised the strikes as a significant setback for the Houthis. The Houthis have launched numerous projectiles towards Israel since March 18, and have also been attacking ships in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, disrupting a major shipping route. This recent escalation comes after the October 7 Hamas attack.
