Shreyas Iyer’s poor form has been a talking point as he failed to make an impact in the Duleep Trophy 2025 semifinal. Iyer, who was given the captaincy for India A’s series against Australia A, played for West Zone. In the semifinal match, Iyer scored only 12 runs off 14 balls in the second innings. His first innings score was 25. West Zone failed to reach the final. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s century in the first innings offered some resistance. Yashasvi Jaiswal managed a half-century in the second innings, but other batsmen failed to perform. Central Zone, led by Rajat Patidar, secured a place in the final, where they will face South Zone.
