A tragic incident occurred in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, where a car entered the Shipra River on Saturday night. The accident took place around 8:45 PM, leading to the recovery of a police officer’s body. The car reportedly went into the river from a bridge. Police sources indicate the vehicle had a driver and a front-seat passenger with the windows up, but official confirmation is pending. Multiple SDRF teams are currently preparing for a search and rescue operation to find the submerged car. The car was carrying police officers connected to an ongoing case: a station in-charge, a sub-inspector and a female constable were inside. The search and rescue efforts are being hampered by the river’s swollen state due to the heavy rain.
