Sanju Samson, the son of a Delhi Police head constable, is set to represent India in the Asia Cup. His father, Samson Viswanath, made a significant decision to move the family from Delhi to Kerala to nurture Sanju’s cricketing talent. While the father continued his police duties in Delhi, the son has risen through the ranks and now dons the Indian jersey. Before the Asia Cup, Sanju showcased his batting prowess in the Kerala Cricket League 2025, where he scored 368 runs in 5 innings at an average of 73.60, including a century, with a strike rate of 186.80.
