Film stars and celebrities often invest in the restaurant industry, seeking to offer unique dining experiences and generate revenue. However, closures can occur for various reasons, including financial or legal issues. Bastian Bandra, the Mumbai restaurant co-owned by Shilpa Shetty and Ranjit Bindra, is set to close this week. It has been a popular destination for food lovers and celebrities. The actress and her husband, Raj Kundra, are facing accusations of defrauding over Rs 60 crore in a loan-cum-investment deal between 2015 and 2023. A fraud case has been filed by Mumbai businessman Deepak Kothari, alleging financial misconduct related to a loan and investment scheme associated with Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. The couple’s legal representative denies the accusations, claiming they are unfounded and that the issue has been previously addressed by the NCLT Mumbai. Shilpa Shetty took to social media to announce the closure, describing it as the end of an era and outlining plans for a farewell event to celebrate Bastian’s legacy.
