Pakistan has expressed its readiness to engage in a comprehensive dialogue with India to address all unresolved issues, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated that Pakistan is prepared for discussions, provided they are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner. India, however, has previously indicated that its talks with Pakistan will focus on Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir and terrorism. In a separate development, the Indian High Commission in Islamabad shared information about possible flooding with the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, emphasizing the humanitarian intent behind the communication. Authorities in Pakistan are taking precautionary measures, including ordering evacuations in anticipation of severe weather. The anticipated weather patterns raise concerns about the potential for further flooding, landslides, and damage to agricultural output, given the backdrop of devastating monsoon seasons in recent years, including the catastrophic floods of 2022.
