Mohammad Rizvi, also known as Raja, has been arrested by the police for using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother during Rahul Gandhi’s voter rights campaign in Darbhanga. Rizvi, who is a driver and also runs a tire repair shop, was confirmed as the suspect by Surendra Kumar Suman, the SDPO-2 of Darbhanga Sadar. The arrest follows an FIR filed by BJP district president Aditya Narayan Manna, implicating Congress leader Mohammad Naushad. The police have presented Rizvi to the media, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the reasons behind the offensive remarks and identify any other individuals involved. The video of the incident went viral. The BJP criticized the Congress, while the rally organizer, Naushad, issued an apology to PM Modi.
