Hockey enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the start of the Hero Men’s Asia Hockey Cup 2025 in Rajgir, Bihar, commencing on August 29th, National Sports Day. The event is the 12th edition of the Men’s Asia Cup, and will see participation from eight leading Asian hockey teams, including India, Japan, China, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Korea, Bangladesh, and Chinese Taipei. The teams have already reached Rajgir, where they are making final preparations for the tournament. All matches will be played at the International Sports Complex in Rajgir, with the final match scheduled for September 7, 2025. This year’s tournament is a qualifier for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup, which makes every game even more significant. To encourage attendance, Hockey India has announced free entry to all matches. A ‘Trophy Gaurav Yatra’ has been organized to promote the sport throughout Bihar and other states, culminating in Rajgir on the inaugural day.
